Blue Frill
The Blue Frill jacket is made from a 1940s printed cotton feather filled duvet. Printed with pink and peach wild roses on a pale leaf green ground, The internal is bound in cream satin binding and fastened with large silver coloured snaps. The beauty of this jacket is that it is edged with a lovely blue gross grain ribbon, such a pretty colour. To keep the frill at the edges of the garment, this was cut with shorter, bracelet length sleeves. Also please have a close look at the lovely blue button hole at the back between the shoulders and the great quilting pattern on the shoulders.
With two welt hand pockets, and a clever use of the frill edging, this is a practical and pretty jacket.
