Rennie Dress
This is called the Renee, but actually should be called the Charles Rennie Mackintosh dress. This amazing hand embroidered table linen was huge. It was from a house clearance in Scotland and must have been heavily influenced by the work of Mackintosh. The rose emblem was something that appeared in his work many times, and the style of the work in this linen is clearly inspired by the Scottish designer. This dress uses the edges of the original piece, as it was beautifully hand finished with a neat button hole/blanket stitch.
